About the room
Our Cennin Pedr-Daffodils Room provides a stimulating and nurturing environment where children are encouraged to become confident, independent learners and make their own choices.
Following the Curriculum for Wales, children learn through play, exploration and hands-on experiences. We follow children’s interests, providing opportunities for creative, construction, role play, imaginative and exploratory learning.
Our large outdoor area offers a wealth of experiences, including bug hunting, water and mud play, encouraging children to explore, investigate and develop their physical, cognitive and social skills.
Children also enjoy a weekly Get Active session using the Sports Hall or Athletics Track, supporting physical development, confidence and positive attitudes towards health and wellbeing.
Funded Childcare
We offer Early Entitlement places during term time and the 30 Hours Childcare Offer for eligible families. Please contact us for more information.
What else should you know?
In the Bumblebee room the ratio is 1 adult to 4 children. Each childcare practitioner is qualified to a minimum of Level 3, with many of our staff are qualified at Level 5. We build positive partnerships with parents, giving support and advice on your child’s growth and development, communicating with parents throughout the day via the Seesaw App.
The team is led by a Senior Nursery Nurse. In the Bumblebee room we encourage the children to play together, develop friendships and learn how to express themselves. We provide opportunities to fill their days with learning experiences using a wide range of activities, these include sand, malleable play, books, block play, exploratory play, role play and movement.
